Totton Swim School is looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic Level 2 qualified swimming instructors with the skills and knowledge to teach children from the age of three and up Following the Swim England framework, you will help your students progress through each stage. Totton Swim School feels that having small classes allows for a more focused swimming lesson, and enables faster progression and development. We have a maximum of 3 swimmers for beginners classes, which last for 30 minutes. We only increase to 5 swimmers at the much higher stage 6 class which lasts for 45 minutes, to allow the children to start working on their stamina.
Core Responsibilities
We are looking for professional, confident and enthusiastic swimming teachers who enjoy working with small groups of children to help them develop their swimming skills. Other requirements include –
- An ASA Level 2 or an STA Full Swimming Instructor Qualification or the equivalent international qualification
- Exceptional communication skills and experience in a customer-facing environment
- A current lifesaving qualification (preferred although we can provide this if necessary)
- Excellent swimming ability with up-to-date knowledge of the sport
Teacher Requirements
Ensuring all swimming lessons are conducted in a safe environment, follow teaching plans and are delivered to the highest possible standard Acting as an ambassador for Totton Swim School whilst working for us Developing fun and creative classes in accordance with the Swim England framework Providing exceptional customer service, offering the highest standards of personal attention and care to all swimmers Accurately recording student attendance and logging their progress weekly on CoursePro using the iPods provided by Totton Swim School
